Visual Artist Ty Rose believes that everyone has a creative spark within…you just need the right environment to fan that spark into a flame.
For several years Ty has taught art workshops that focus more on art as a means of self expression than teaching a skill set. His studio 19th & West Creative is a space where art and creativity serve as healing agents on our journey to wholeness of body, mind and spirit.
Having participated in and taught “Wine & Paint Events”, Ty would often ask participants if they planned to hang the finished painting in their home. While participants enjoyed the social aspect of the evening most admitted they wouldn’t be displaying their painting at home.
Sometimes the expense of tools, equipment, acquiring supplies, a lack of creative space not to mention the set up and clean up has kept others from exploring their inner creativity.
Don’t let a lack of skills or materials keep you from creating something that brings you joy! The process of "wood art" requires no artistic ability or “free-hand” painting, so what do you have to lose?
- Choose the design you want to paint - we will make the stencil for your project.
- Choose new wood that you may leave smooth or distress as little or as much as you want - OR - choose to create your sign from reclaimed wood.
- Choose from our selection of stains that you may apply to the wood.
- Choose from our paint bar the colors you want to bring your sign to life!
With our step by step instruction and user-friendly materials you will not only enjoy the experience but will also have a sense of pride in our own creation!
Our Mission Statement:
Provide a fun, friendly, relaxed setting where guests express their inner creativity and build community as they make a DIY decor piece they will be proud to display in their home.
